City swimming pools, spray pads and wading pools prepare to open for summer fun

Winnipeg, MB - Beat the heat and enjoy the summer weather in Winnipeg by visiting one of the City's wading pools, spray pads and outdoor pools.

Outdoor Pools
Kildonan Park Outdoor Pool opens June 14 for the Summer 2013 season. All other City of Winnipeg outdoor pools open June 28. All ten outdoor pools operate seven days a week, weather permitting, until September 2.

Wading Pools
16 of the City’s wading pools will open on Monday, July 1 for the season�"just in time for some Canada Day fun! The remaining locations will open July 2, according to their operating schedules. Operating hours vary by wading pool, however most are open 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Weather permitting, the following 16 wading pools will be open on Monday, July 1:

Spray Pads
For a different kind of water fun, check out one of the City’s spray pads. Spray pads are open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with Vimy Ridge Memorial Park open 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Spray pads operate June 1 through September 2 at the following locations:
