City hosts Career Symposium Tuesday

Public invited to learn about the diversity of City careers

WINNIPEG, MB - October 15, 2012 - The public is invited to learn about careers in the City of Winnipeg Public Service at the Career Symposium tomorrow, Tuesday, October 16, 2012, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Winnipeg Convention Centre.

The symposium is free of charge and open to everyone. The day is intended to showcase the wide range of careers with the City of Winnipeg and provide information to those who may be interested in working for the City.

For those still in school, the Symposium also offers an opportunity to learn more about the education and training required for City jobs.

There will be interactive displays by City departments. Employees from a variety of areas will be on site to share information and answer questions about their professions and occupations.
