WINNIPEG, MB - October 11, 2012 - The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service will be holding an Open House at all Fire Paramedic stations in Winnipeg on Saturday, October 13 from noon to 4:00 p.m. as part of Fire Prevention Week.
Fire fighters will be available to meet with families to provide information about personal and home fire safety. Everyone will have an opportunity to tour their community station and view the station apparatus.
As in previous years, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is partnering with McDonald's Restaurants who will be at each station serving refreshments during the Open House. Ronald McDonald will also be making special guest appearances at various stations across the city.
Children can fill out ballots for a chance to be "Chief for a Day." Winners can look forward to a full day of activities in the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service department, escorted by their fire fighter chauffer.
