Collectors on the street later than usual

WINNIPEG, MB - October 10, 2012 - The new weekly automated cart collection for recycling and garbage, and biweekly curbside yard waste collection, is a half-day to a day behind schedule in some areas of the city. Collectors will be working into the weekend to complete this week's collection.

Collectors are working late into the evening, so residents scheduled for collection services are urged to leave their carts and yard waste materials at the curb. If there is more than one day delay in collection service, residents are asked to phone 311 and report a missed pickup.

Residents are also reminded to leave one arm's length clearance on all sides of each cart.
