Water main construction to begin next week on Kennedy Street

WINNIPEG, MB - August 17, 2012 -Starting Monday, August 20, 2012, the City will begin a three-week project to abandon an aging water main on Kennedy Street between Broadway and the mid-block north of Broadway.

Traffic restrictions on Kennedy Street throughout the three-week project include:

  • The east and west curb lanes and one centre lane will be closed to all traffic.
  • There will be no loading zones or street parking in the construction area.

The work will cost about $100,000 and is expected to be complete by mid-September.
