Complete Road Closure in Effect on Sherbrook Street between Elgin Avenue and William Avenue

The public is advised that Sherbrook Street has been completely closed to vehicular traffic between Elgin Avenue and William Avenue as a safety precaution due to collapsed excavation shoring at the Health Sciences Centre worksite.

Motorists advised to use alternative routes

WINNIPEG - March 21, 2012 -The public is advised that Sherbrook Street has been completely closed to vehicular traffic between Elgin Avenue and William Avenue as a safety precaution due to collapsed excavation shoring at the Health Sciences Centre worksite.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes and allow additional travel time when travelling in the vicinity. Alternative routes include Balmoral Street and Arlington Street while the road closure is in place.

Transit service for Route 29 SHERBROOK service will reroute via Sherbrook-Elgin-Kate-William-Sherbrook in both directions. Please visit www.winnipegtransit.com for further route updates.

It is expected that the road closure will remain in effect until Tuesday, March 27, 2012.
