WINNIPEG - March 15, 2012 - To help keep our streets safe, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service warns residents not to park in fire lanes.

Vehicles parked illegally in fire lanes can hinder fire trucks responding to a fire or other emergencies. By keeping fire lanes clear at all times, crews can provide faster emergency service.

In accordance with the City of Winnipeg Fire Prevention By-law 150/2004, the fine for parking in a fire lane is $300.
