Living Prairie Museum offering Native Prairie Planting Workshops

Citizens are invited to explore the many beautiful and hardy plants that call Manitoba's prairie home during Living Prairie Museum's Native Prairie Planting Workshops.

WINNIPEG - March 15, 2012 - Citizens are invited to explore the many beautiful and hardy plants that call Manitoba's prairie home during Living Prairie Museum's Native Prairie Planting Workshops.

John Morgan of Prairie Habitats, will teach you everything you need to know about native prairie plants and how they can be included in your home or cottage landscape design. The workshops include a slide presentation, discussion and wildflower seed-planting demonstration. Native wildflower and grass seeds are included.

Workshops are offered on the following dates

  • Tuesday, March 20 - 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 4 - 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 15 - 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 26 - 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 5 - 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Registration Fee:

$45 plus GST, includes all seeds and materials ($35 with Friends of Living Prairie Museum membership)
