St. James Civic Centre parking lot reconstruction, June 26-Sept 29, 2006
Parking lot and recycling depot to be relocated temporarily

The parking lot at the St. James Civic Centre, 2055 Ness Avenue will undergo full reconstruction starting Monday, June 26, 2006. The St. James Civic Centre Complex facility will remain open work during the three month construction period and should be complete by September 29.

MEDIA RELEASE:

WINNIPEG June 22, 2006 - The parking lot at the St. James Civic Centre, 2055 Ness Avenue will undergo full reconstruction starting Monday, June 26, 2006. The work will take about three months and should be complete by September 29.

The St. James Civic Centre Complex facility will be open during construction. The project involves the following major components of work:

  • Full reconstruction of existing asphalt pavement parking lot
  • Parking lot lighting upgrades
  • Internal land drainage sewer system
  • Drainage ditch system around perimeter of facility
  • Regrading and resurfacing of the east lot

During the work :

  • Staff and patrons should use the parking lot east of the arena
  • Access is from Woodlawn Street, north of Ness Avenue

Recycling depot

  • The recycling depot will be relocated to the east side of the St. James Civic Centre on Woodlawn Street
