About the Service Winnipeg Police Districts

The City of Winnipeg is currently divided into five distinct police districts. Each of these districts has a corresponding operational Division working within its boundaries:

District 1 - City Centre
Policed by: Division 11 - 151 Princess St (986-6246)
District 2 - St. James / Assiniboia
Policed by: Division 12 - 210 Lyle St (986-6060)
District 3 - Lord Selkirk / West Kildonan
Policed by: Division 13 - 260 Hartford Ave (986-6314)
East District - St. Boniface/St.Vital/Elmwood/East Kildonan/North Kildonan/Transcona
Policed by: Division 14 - 1750 Dugald Road. (204-986-6262)
District 6 - Assiniboine Park / Fort Rouge / Fort Garry
Policed by: Division 16 - 1350 Pembina Hwy (986-6042)

These patrol divisions respond to calls-for-service from the public. These calls-for-service are received via phone in our Communications Centre at 986-6222 or the Emergency phone number - 911. Police units in the various divisions are usually assigned calls within their own district boundaries. In emergency situations, any police unit is available to respond anywhere within the City of Winnipeg.
