Police in schools

2019-2020 School patrol awards

The Winnipeg Police Service typically hosts its annual school safety patrol awards ceremony, during which we salute the top school patrol programs in Winnipeg.

Due to this year’s concerns around COVID19 we were unable to host this event. Despite the pandemic, we still salute the first-place winners in each school division.

Every year the patrols are judged on their ability, professionalism and technique while on patrol by the School Education Section of the Winnipeg Police Service.

In 2020, there were approximately 5,000 patrols ensuring our children arrive safely to their schools everyday here in Winnipeg.
