Vehicle Robbery: C17-223996

On October 4, 2017 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Winnipeg Police were advised that a male was robbed of his vehicle in the rear lane of the first 100 block of Bayridge Ave.

General Patrol members attended and learned that the victim had stopped his vehicle when he was confronted by a male in possession of a handgun who demanded the victim's vehicle.  The suspect struck the victim in the head with the handgun at which point the victim turned over the keys to his vehicle. The suspect robbed the victim of his wallet before fleeing in the victim's vehicle.

The vehicle is has not been located and is described as:
2016, White, Nissan Rogue with a vertical scratch on the back door, bearing Manitoba licence plate HBG 521.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
