Missing Person - Jason Desmarais: R17-30968 - Located

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing 33 year old male, Jason DESMARAIS.

DESMARAIS was reported missing April 24th, last seen in the West End area of Winnipeg.

DESMARAIS is described as Aboriginal, 5'11", 240lbs, with long black hair, a goatee and moustache.  DESMARAIS was last seen wearing black Nike runners, blue jeans, a black long-sleeved sweater and carrying a black Shapes duffle bag.

Police are concerned for DESMARAIS’ well-being and are asking anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at (204) 986-6250

Aggravated Assault Arrest: C17-85624

On April 26, 2017 at approximately 2:00 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the report of an assault that occurred at a residence in the 500 block of Des Meurons Street.

Attending officers located a 55-year-old male with serious injuries requiring immediate medical attention. He was transported to hospital in critical condition but has since stabilized.

Rhonda Joanne THOMAS, a 31-year-old female of Winnipeg, has been charged with the following offences:

- Aggravated Assault
- Uttering Threats
- Possession of a Weapon

She has been detained in custody.

Firearms Incident Arrest: C17-85720

On April 26, 2017 at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a firearms incident at a single-family residence in the 600 block of Sherburn Street.

While officers were on scene, a firearm was discharged within the residence. There were no injuries.

An adult male has charged with several firearm offences.

He was detained in custody.
