Aggravated Assault Investigation - C17-0010270

On January 15, 2017 at approximately 6:00 p.m., a group of youth became involved in an argument with a 27 year old male passenger while travelling on a transit bus in the area of the South West Transit Corridor, near Stradbrook Avenue and Harkness Avenue.

In an unprovoked attack, the suspects stabbed the victim multiple times. Prior to fleeing, bear spray was discharged in the direction of the victim, including others riding on the bus at that time.

The victim was transported to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects are described as: males, 14-16 years old, wearing: skinny jeans and red baseball caps.

Members of the West District Crime Unit continue to investigate. Anyone with further information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2877 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).   

Missing Person - Jade Brown - R17-0002786

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating a missing 15 year old female, Jade BROWN.  BROWN was last seen on Thursday evening, January 12, in the Silver Heights area of St. James, in Winnipeg. 

BROWN is described as: fair/light complexion, 5'3" tall, slim build, with medium-length straight black hair and brown eyes.  She was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, grey sweat pants and tan Timberland boots.

The Winnipeg Police Service is concerned for BROWN's wellbeing and is asking anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250.
