Attempt Murder X 3 - C16-51286 - Arrested

On March 13, 2016 at approximately 4:00 am, a number of people attended to a gathering at a residence in the 200 block of Hazel Dell Avenue. During this gathering several people were involved in a verbal argument outside the residence which quickly escalated. A firearm was produced and was discharged, striking 3 separate individuals.

The Winnipeg Police Service was contacted and officers entered into an investigation.
The three victims were conveyed to area hospitals, where they were treated for serious injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

The Major Crimes Unit later identified the suspect and an arrest warrant has been issued for Haben Nipsey WELDEKIDAN 22 years old of Winnipeg Manitoba.
The Major Crimes Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in locating WELDEKIDAN, who is not to be approached and should be considered Armed and Dangerous.

If anyone has knowledge of the whereabouts of WELDEKIDAN they are asked to contact the Winnipeg Police Service at 986-6222, Crime stoppers at 786-TIPS, or their local RCMP detachment.
