Winnipeg Police Service

About the Service > Diversity Section

The Winnipeg Police Service, Diversity Section is committed to the collaboration of partnerships with our diverse communities throughout the city.  Through shared ownership of the priorities identified by our partners, we collectively impact inclusion, community safety and create a culture of safety for all.

The Diversity Section consists of 4 officers dedicated to initiating and maintaining positive relationships with all ethno-cultural communities, as well as other under-represented communities including our LGBTTQ community.

Our officers regularly act as a liaison, a resource and a contact for diverse groups.  They coordinate diversity training, assist with recruitment, conduct presentations and attend to numerous diversity events, celebrations and ceremonies.

Look for us out at different events throughout the city and come over to say “Hi”.

If you would like to have one of our officers attend for a presentation or attend to one of your events, please email us at
