Community Presentations

TakeAction is a program designed to enhance community safety by educating the citizens of Winnipeg on easy, practical steps they can take to develop a personal safety strategy.

The Winnipeg Police Service supports the TakeAction program by proactively promoting public education and awareness on ways to prevent crime, through crime awareness presentations.

While COVID-19 may have impacted our ability to connect in person with the community, it hasn't changed our commitment to sharing timely crime prevention and safety information with you and your community group.

The Crime Prevention team will connect with your group through online virtual presentations.

Presentations offered by the Winnipeg Police Service include:

  • Active shooter workplace safety
  • Crime awareness
  • Drug awareness
  • Frauds and scams
  • Introduction to the Winnipeg Police (newcomers).
  • Personal safety
  • Personal safety for seniors

Due to demand, we request you contact us at least four weeks prior to the event. All presentations are free of charge, most are one hour in duration. Upon receiving your request a WPS represented will be in contact to make arrangements.
