Homicides – Arrests: C23-23341 & C23-26107

As previously released, the Homicide Unit began investigating two recent homicides:

- On January 29, 2023, at 5:23 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a hospital for a report of a seriously injured male. They were then directed to a hotel suite in the 600 block of Main Street, where they located a deceased 40-year-old male, Carl George Wescoupe.

- On February 1, 2023, at 10:10 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a hotel in the 800 block of Main Street where a male had attended for help after being stabbed. They were then directed to a residence in the 100 block of Selkirk Avenue, where they located a deceased 40-year-old male, Lee James Boulette.

Members of the Homicide Unit determined that both incidents were linked and identified several suspects. The incidents are not believed to be random.

Kurtis Joseph Dilallo, a 39-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- First-Degree Murder (x2)
- Aggravated Assault (x2)

Robert Shawn Murdock, a 31-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- First-Degree Murder (x2)
- Aggravated Assault (x2)

Ernest John Young, a 54-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- First-Degree Murder (x2)
- Aggravated Assault (x2)

The three were detained.
