Homicide – Investigation: C23-26107

Released: February 3, 2023 at 9:10 a.m.

On February 1, 2023, shortly after 10:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a hotel in the 800 block of Main Street where a male had attended for assistance after being stabbed. He reported another victim might be at a residence on Selkirk Avenue. The first victim was transported to hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to stable condition. 

General Patrol officers attended an apartment in the 100 block of Selkirk Avenue and located a second victim, a deceased male, inside a suite.

The Homicide Unit took over the investigation, and the deceased victim was identified as 40-year-old Lee James BOULETTE of Winnipeg.

This investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508 or anonymously at Crime Stoppers 204-786-TIPS(8477).
