Homicide – Investigation: C23-20087

Released: January 26, 2023 at 1:12 p.m.

On January 25, 2023, at approximately 5:45 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to an apartment in the 300 block of Hargrave Street for the report of a seriously injured male. 

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was already on scene and transported the victim to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Homicide Unit took over the investigation, and the appropriate notifications were made.

The deceased has been identified as 65-year-old Richard Darryl WHEELER of Winnipeg.

Anyone with information regarding WHEELER’s death is asked to call investigators in the Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
