Pedestrian Motor Vehicle Collision – Investigation: C24-185054

Update:

A 28-year-old male has succumbed to his injuries. Notifications to the family have been made.

The Traffic Division continues to investigate the matter.

As previously released:

On August 10, 2024, at approximately 4:00 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of an injured person at Pembina Highway and Adamar Road. A male was located and found to have serious injuries.

Members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service attended and transported the male to the hospital in critical condition.

The adult driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene of the collision and spoke with investigators.

The Traffic Division's Collision Investigation Section has assumed the investigation and determined that the male was walking eastbound across Pembina Highway near Adamar Road when struck by a southbound vehicle.
