Shooting – Investigation: C23-36353

Released: September 29, 2023 at 1:51 p.m.

On September 28, 2023, at approximately 9:45 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report that someone had been shot at a vendor in the 800 block of Main Street.

General Patrol officers and the Tactical Support Team (TST) located a male in his 30s with a gunshot wound.  TST secured the area, and the victim was transported to hospital in unstable condition, and later upgraded.

This investigation is continuing by the Major Crimes Unit.
