On September 28, 2023, at approximately 9:30 a.m., General Patrol officers from the West District and the Tactical Support Team responded to the report of a detonated device outside a building in the first one hundred block of Donald Street.
Upon arrival, police met with an adult female who indicated there was a small explosion from a container as she was passing by.
Nobody was injured and no damage occurred to the surrounding area.
The Bomb Unit attended and confirmed there was no further risk to public safety. A small carton containing C02 cartridges appeared to have been detonated.
The investigation is continuing by the Major Crimes Unit. Investigators do not believe the incident was targeting the individual who passed by.
