Damage & Theft – Arrests: C23-232105

On September 24, 2023, at approximately 4:00 a.m., officers from the East District Station responded to the report of four youths causing damage at a 24-hour food establishment in the 200 block of Henderson Highway.

Police were contacted when a group of youths were observed damaging a vehicle parked outside. They jumped on the hood and smashed windows, causing extensive damage to the vehicle.

The suspects entered the store, stole some drinks and left, only to return and throw rocks damaging the storefront windows as well as a glass barrier within the store.

Two suspects were located nearby and taken into police custody, while the others fled.

Two males, a 13-year-old and a 16-year-old, face Mischief Over $5,000 x 2 and Theft Under $5,000 charges.

They were released on Undertakings as mandated by the Criminal Code, and both were turned over to adults.
