On December 27, 2019, at approximately 11:35 a.m., a Guns & Gangs unit was patrolling the area of Aberdeen Avenue and Aikins Street when they observed an occupied vehicle with what appeared to be fresh damage and a dealer licence plate parked on the wrong side of the road.

A traffic stop was conducted, and both occupants were placed under arrest when it was determined the vehicle was likely stolen. A .22 calibre rifle was observed on the floor of the vehicle and 1.55 grams of methamphetamine (estimated street value of $80) was found.

It was later confirmed that the vehicle was stolen and had been taken from the Spence area on December 18, 2019. The dealer licence place was stolen from the St. Matthews area between December 23 and 24, 2019.

Gavin Harley Troy Anderson, a 25-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of Scheduled Substance – Methamphetamine
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order

Raven Dawn Severight, a 30-year-old female of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of Scheduled Substance – Methamphetamine
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

They were detained in custody.
