City of Winnipeg continues to collaborate with citizens on plans for Chief Peguis Trail Extension West

Public invited to upcoming community workshops

Winnipeg, MB - The City of Winnipeg has initiated a study to gain insight into the use of and expectations for the new Chief Peguis Trail Extension, west from Main Street to Brookside Boulevard.

An information session was held in November 2014 to introduce the public to ideas being considered, such as:

  • Alignment of the roadway corridor;
  • Intersection design;
  • Sound reduction;
  • Pedestrian and cycling routes;
  • Greenspace features; and
  • Existing natural habitats.

The public is now invited to attend one of two upcoming workshops to discuss the next steps in the project design:
