Let's Chip In Depots open December 27, 2013 - January 20, 2014

Winnipeg, MB - Residents are reminded that they can recycle their real Christmas trees for free by taking them to one of the 11 Let's Chip In Depots between December 27, 2013, and January 20, 2014.

All tinsel, decorations, plastic bags, and tree stands should be removed before recycling. Residents are welcome to help themselves to free wood chips, which will be available at all depots in early January (while quantities last). Please remember to bring your own container.

Residents are reminded that trees placed beside recycling or garbage carts will not be collected.

Keeping Christmas trees out of our landfills means that the trees will continue to be a valuable resource. Winnipeg residents recycled 14,500 trees last season.
