Winners of The Amazing Race Canada honoured by Mayor Katz

Winnipeg, MB - Today, at a ceremony at City Hall, Mayor Sam Katz presented the father-son team of Tim Hague Sr. and Tim Hague Jr. with the City of Winnipeg Outstanding Achievement Award.

The award recognized the pair's recent win on the popular CTV reality television show, The Amazing Race Canada. Mayor Katz congratulated the team, known to their fans as Tim Time, on their first-place finish and thanked them for representing Winnipeg on the national program.

Tim and Tim faced adversity throughout the competition and met all of their challenges with a tremendous amount of spirit and determination, said Mayor Sam Katz. We couldn't have asked for a better team to represent the city, and I am sure all Winnipeggers join me in congratulating them on this great achievement.

Surrounded by family and friends, Tim Sr. accepted the award on behalf of the team. His son and teammate, Tim Jr., was unable to attend today's event.

In addition to the medals, Mayor Katz presented Tim Sr. with a City of Winnipeg flag, a nod to the flag challenge in the final episode, which ultimately clinched the win for the Winnipeggers.
