Winnipeg Public Library offers fall programming

WINNIPEG, MB - August 24, 2012 - Winnipeg Public Library's fall program schedule has been released, with over 100 programs being offered across all 20 locations. The September/October issue of @ The Library has full details on all programs and events offered by Winnipeg Public Library.

September/October highlights include:

  • Fall session of Pre-School Programs: Baby Rhyme Time, Time for Twos, Story Time and Family Story Time
  • Sign-a-Story: story time for deaf, hard-of-hearing or hearing children
  • Homework Clubs, Halloween events, and the Check it Out! mobile library program
  • Skywalk Concerts and Lectures: 20 weeks of engaging lectures and lively concerts
  • Monthly workshops from the Winnipeg Folk Festival
  • Author readings and workshops from THIN AIR: Winnipeg International Writers Festival as well as the Manitoba Indigenous Writers Festival
  • Book Clubs for all ages
  • Computer workshops and hands-on demonstrations of eBooks

All library programs are free but some require registration.

Pre-School Program registration begins at all libraries on Friday, September 7 at 10:00 a.m. All other programs are open for registration now. Registration is in-person or by phone by contacting the host library.
