Innovation & Technology

Campus Information Systems & Technology

Corporate Systems Support

  • The Corporate Systems area supports applications that are used by all departments in the City. For example, this includes support and training in the mailing list management system that several departments use to notify the public of events such as insect fogging and crime reports.

Desktop and Mobility Services Branch

  • The Desktop and Mobility Services Branch is responsible for planning, procurement, implementing and supporting desktop and mobility technology within the campus environment. This includes desktop PCs, laptops, notebooks, cell phones, and wireless service access provided through our Telco carrier.

Assessment and Taxation Support

  • This area provides I.T application support for both the Property Assessment function and the Taxation function of the City of Winnipeg. This support includes assisting in the yearly creation of assessment notices and tax bills for 200,000 properties, and developing and maintaining a variety of tools used to assist in the valuation and appeals processes. This area also supports and develops web applications that give the general public the ability to search for general property data, and also gives secure access to detailed property and taxation data to authorized law firms and property owners.
