MEDIA RELEASE:

WINNIPEG December 21, 2006 - Don’t throw your Christmas tree away after the holiday season. Join us to recycle your tree at any of the nine Let’s Chip In Depots between December 27, 2006 and January 20, 2007. The mulch created through this recycling effort will help our zoo animals. Please ensure to remove all decorations, especially tinsel.

  • Kildonan Park – 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
    Rainbow Stage parking lot, 2021 Main St.
  • Kilcona Park – 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
    McIvor Avenue Gate, at Lagimodiere Blvd.
  • Whittier Park – 24-hour access
    Rue St. Joseph & Rue Messager
  • St. James Civic Centre – 24-hour access
    2055 Ness Ave.
  • Assiniboine Park – 24-hour access
    West Zoo parking lot, 2355 Corydon Ave.
  • Pan Am Pool parking lot – 24-hour access
