Current river conditions:
Although Winnipeg rivers are now free of ice, they're flowing with remarkable speed. Exercise extreme caution when near or on any water bodies. The frigid waters pose a risk of hypothermia. City of Winnipeg Boat Launches remain closed, and city docks have yet to be installed. Prioritize your safety above all else.
Safety on rivers & waterways
Members of the Winnipeg Police Service River Patrol enforce federal, and provincial statutes, and City of Winnipeg by-laws within Winnipeg.
