Knowles Avenue sewer and water local improvements
As a result of the successful local improvement process, new sewer and water services will be installed on Knowles Avenue. Construction will begin late February or early March of this year and is expected to take four to five months:
- wastewater sewer between DeVries Avenue and Gateway Road,
- water main between De Vries Avenue and Gateway Road, and
- land drainage sewer between Gateway Road and Sunny Morning Road.
Feedback (closed)
An open house was held on the evening of Monday, January 25, 2010 at the Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 653 Knowles Avenue. Staff were available to answer questions and a presentation was given which covered:
- what you can expect during construction (e.g., disruptions to traffic, heavy equipment, safety precautions),
- an outline of the construction schedule,
- information on how you can connect to the new water main and wastewater sewer (connecting to the water main is optional, but the Province will require that you connect to the new wastewater sewer within the time limit specified under the Onsite Wastewater Management System Regulation 83/2003).
