Recreation

There are many possibilities for recreation in our natural areas.

Outdoor education is an excellent way to spend an hour or a day out in nature. Trails provide places for walking, running or mountain-biking. Canoeing or kayaking down one of the city's rivers is an excellent way to see the city and the nature along the river's banks. Fishing is also a popular way to spend a day. Our rivers are a valuable part of our city and Winnipeg is home to one of the best places in North America to catch catfish. Gardening is another great way to spend some time outdoors and help to expand the nature around you.
