Do you love nature? Do you like working with children and the public? If you answered 'yes' then the Living Prairie Museum is for you! Volunteers play an essential part at the Living Prairie Museum. From prairie management to conducting nature hikes or extension programs, volunteers are actively involved in environmental education and preservation of the tall grass prairie.

To become a prairie volunteer you must...
  • Enjoy working with people of all ages
  • Have a genuine interest in nature and environmental issues
  • Have 2 or more spare hours a week
  • Be willing to volunteer for a minimum amount of time
We currently need volunteer naturalists for the following positions: Education Volunteer, Interpretive Centre Volunteer, Prairie Maintenance Volunteer, and Special Events Volunteer.

If you fit these qualifications and have a special interest in working with the Living Prairie Museum, please contact Museum staff.

If you are unable to volunteer but would still like to help conserve the tall grass prairie for future generations, become a Friend of The Living Prairie.
