different locations. Special programs have been
developed in accordance with the Manitoba Teachers (K-6) Science Curriculum. Pre-visit consultations with

Animals in Winter
Students discover how the animals of Manitoba prepare for the onset of winter. From hibernation to 'high-tailing it', animals have adapted to our often snowy and blustery environment. A short presentation will be followed by artifact sharing and activities.

Butterflies of Manitoba
Did you know where are approximately 155 species of butterflies found in Manitoba alone? Discover the diversity of Manitoba's butterflies, their biology and conservation through this multimedia presentation. Explore the life story of Stuart, the swallowtail butterfly, through life cycle costumes, and examine the beauty of these magnificent winged creatures through unique specimen cases.
