Perennial Plant Donation Program

Do You Have Extra Perennials?

The Parks and Open Space Division is moving towards the use of perennial plants in some of our flower beds and boulevard planters. This will add more variety to our flower gardens while reducing ongoing maintenance costs.

How can you help:

  • When dividing your perennials this spring, think of us!
  • If you have plants that you would like to donate for this purpose, please give us a call.
  • Each potential donation will be discussed with Parks staff and a suitable location will be determined.
  • Examples of perennial plants we would appreciate include:
    • Day Lilies
    • Peonies
    • Achillea
    • Hosta
    • Iris and
    • Dianthus.

A special thank-you to those who have donated plant material in past years and to those who would like to donate plant material this year.
