Updates to the Building and Site Design Summary Submission Form, 2010
Updates to the BSDS and Simplified BSDS have been incorporated for submission with building permit applications effective March 3, 2010. On-line access to documents has also been improved offering Word and PDF versions as well as offering access to each section of the BSDS for use by multiple industry professionals. By-law Changes Effective January 1, 2009
On July 16 2008 Council passed By-law 126/2008 amending the Development Procedures and Board of Adjustment By-laws. These amendments deal with the routing of variance and conditional use applications to the Community Committee rather than the Board of Adjustment if the application is associated with subdivisions and/or rezonings processed within the past 2 years.

  PERMITS ONLINE
Permits Online is a new e-service that enables the trades and building industry to apply for plumbing, electrical and new home construction permits over the Internet. The new Permits Online system provides flexibility in how, where and when permit applications are filed. Once a permit application has been submitted, this secure system enables registered users to check on the status of their permit application(s) seven days a week, day or night. As the Permits Online system continues to develop, more features and additional types of permit applications will be added. Users will see the site expand to offer a number of functions related to the permit application process, including the electronic submission of documents related to a permit application, online payment options, and the ability to receive and print completed permits using the Permits Online system.PDF Permits Online (pdf, 337KB) user handbook is available to guide new users.
