Financial assistance available for the development, repair, and improvement of residential property

 
Downtown Residential Development Grant Program
A program that provides grants to qualified developers of up to $40,000 per residential unit to help leverage multiple-family residential or mixed-use development in Winnipeg's downtown.
The Home Renovation Tax Assistance Program
The HRTA is a property tax credit program to encourage and assist homeowners in the renovation of their residential premise.

Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Programs (RRAP)
Three programs available to provide financial assistance. They include assistance to:
• low-income homeowners in repairs to their homes,
• repairs to rental or rooming house properties occupied by low income households, and
• homeowners and landlords to improve their dwellings so that they are more accessible to persons with disabilities.

Minimum Home Repair Program
The City of Winnipeg has established the Minimum Home Repair Program (MHRP) to address small emergency repairs for owner-occupied housing in designated areas.
Heritage Conservation Tax Credit Program
A program to assist in repairing and rehabilitating designated heritage buildings.
The Residential Infill Tax Credit Program expired on June 30, 2011. (pdf 51kb)
This program offered a tax credit for new owner-occupied infill housing in Winnipeg's established neighbourhoods, as long as all eligibility criteria were met. For an archived version of the program description, please click the program title above.
