What road is being closed? What is DAC 1 / 2009?
Wilkes Avenue west of Kenaston Boulevard and east of the Sterling Lyon Parkway, immediately adjacent to the redevelopment project lands. Wilkes Avenue is presently barricaded at Kenaston Boulevard and gated at its junction with Sterling Lyon Parkway to the west.
What will happened to the closed road?
The closed right-of-way will be divided into Parcel “A” and Parcel “B” as depicted in the map below. Parcel “A” may be incorporated into the development of the adjoining property currently being processed under subdivision and rezoning application DASZ 37/2008. Parcel “B” has been included in the application at the request of the Public Works Department and may be retained by the City.
