  • Back-flow prevention
  • Welding exhaust systems
  • Roof drainage systems
  • Environmental control systems
  • Kitchen exhaust systems
  • Sprinkler systems
  • Stand pipe systems
  • Fire pumps
  • Paint spray booths
  • Dust collection systems
  • Acid dilution systems
  • HVAC systems
  • Fire dampers

NOTE:  The above building types and systems are by no means an extensive list of all the different systems and related construction types that fall within the duties and responsibilities of this section, but only examples.

PROTECT YOURSELF – prior to any new construction, demolition, additions or alterations to any part of a ‘plumbing system’ ensure that a valid PERMIT has been obtained prior to commencement of work/installation.

PLEASE if you are not sure that the proposed work requires a permit or additional approvals, call our department.

A contractor licensed to perform work in The City of Winnipeg can only conduct commercial plumbing work.
