Project Purpose:
- To draft a local Protocol which will manage the introduction of radio and broadcasting communication towers and facilities in the City of Winnipeg.
- To prepare the draft Protocol in consultation with the communication industry through an Industry Advisory Committee.
- To amend sections in the Winnipeg and Downtown Winnipeg Zoning By-laws that deal with communication antennae and towers.
- To inform and communicate with the public about the proposed changes to the rules governing communication facilities in the City of Winnipeg.
