Welcome to the City of Winnipeg Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) project webpage. The TOD project supports OurWinnipeg, the City’s new draft municipal development plan, and the Complete Communities Direction Strategy.
The project was conducted by a multi-departmental committee and PB PlaceMaking, a leading consulting firm in TOD. Public and stakeholder consultation events were also held in the development of this project.
The Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) project has produced the following deliverable:
- The TOD Handbook – a draft high-level framework document that guides and facilitates mixed-use, pedestrian-oriented infill development along rapid transit corridors and high-frequency transit corridors
This website provides information on the TOD project, as well as information on what TOD is, its benefits, core principles, typologies or ‘types’ of TOD, resources, and other related information.
