TRAINING
A comprehensive eight-week, full time, paid academic and skill-set training is provided by the Police Training Academy. Some topics covered are:

Field training consists of seven-weeks of paid full time coaching to gain experience working as a Cadet.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD
Auxiliary Cadets are considered to be on probation for 24 months or a two-year period.
ADDITIONAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
The Winnipeg Police Service supports and encourages its members to continue their training and education. Ongoing training and opportunities for experiential learning will be provided on a regular basis as a Cadet. Advanced courses of study are also offered through:
