AUXILIARY FORCE CADET - APPLICATIONS

The Winnipeg Police Service is currently accepting applications in person for the position of Auxiliary Force Cadet.
PLEASE NOTE: Effective Monday, July 6, 2015, applications for the position of Auxiliary Force Cadet will be accepted at the Public Safety Building, main floor, 151 Princess Street. Applications are accepted Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Applicants please take a number prior to taking a seat and wait for your number to be called to speak to a representative and submit your application.
POLICE CONSTABLE - APPLICATIONS
The Winnipeg Police Service is not accepting applications for Police Constable at the present time. Please check our website periodically for information on the next Recruit Class application intake.
Auxiliary Cadets are peace officers that work throughout the city to enhance the Service’s visual presence, build positive relationships in the community and allow police members to focus on core police duties. A Cadet’s daily activities vary and include:
- conducting neighborhood foot patrol
- guarding crime scenes
- directing traffic
- assisting in ground searches
- receiving minor property and motor vehicle reports
- enforcing provincial statutes and municipal by-laws
- referring citizens to assisting agencies
As with police officers and staff, the Auxiliary Cadets have to exemplify the core competencies of City of Winnipeg employees:
