On October 30th, 2000, Division 41, part of the Criminal Investigative Bureau, was created to compile the following units:

In the coming years, a Youth Crime coordinator was added to the division along with a long term Missing Persons Unit.

About the Division

Division 41 is staffed by specialized plainclothes investigators and their supervisors, all of whom are extensively trained and skilled in their field. The cases that come to Division 41 are sensitive in nature and often require lengthy investigations.

Division 41 contains a victim interview room, which attempts to minimize any of the fears or discomforts that may come from attending a police station. This room is equipped with a video monitor system so that any interviews can be more of a conversation and have an easier flow.
