Firearms Search Warrant

On May 5, 2009 at 2:45 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service Street Crime Unit with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Fraser Road.

The search resulted in the seizure of the following items from the residence:

A loaded Colt 45 Calibre handgun
A 22 calibre rifle
2 magazines
Numerous rounds of ammunition
A pellet rifle
2 pellet handguns
2 leather vests with gang insignias
Assorted clothing with gang insignias

Two Winnipeg males, aged thirty-two and twenty-one were arrested in connection with the investigation. Both have been charged with a number of firearms offences and were detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.

A thirty-one year old female was also arrested and is facing a number of firearms related charges. She was released on a Promise to Appear.

Assault Arrests

On Tuesday, February 10th, 2009, the Winnipeg Police Service released information regarding the serious assault of a 19 year old male by a group of unknown individuals.

The victim sustained serious injuries to the upper body and continues to receive medical treatment as a result.

The subsequent investigation by the Major Crimes Unit with the assistance of Division 11 and Division 13 detectives and the Tactical Support Team has resulted in the following arrests in connection with the incident:
