Winnipeg Police Service Media Release
For Immediate Release
Male Shot
Wednesday April 30th at approximately 4:20 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service attended to an address in the 200 block of Polson Avenue, for a report of a male who had been shot. When police arrived a 21 year old male was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to his upper body. This male was transported to hospital by ambulance in stable condition.
On initial contact with police the victim was uncooperative. Male was left at hospital in stable condition.
The matter is being investigated by District 3 Detectives.
Motor Vehicle Collision
This morning April 30th, 2008 at approximately 8:05 a.m. a vehicle was travelling north bound on Main Street near Margaret Avenue. This vehicle contacted with another crossed into south bound lanes and collided with a front end loader and another vehicle.
The male driver was transported to hospital in critical condition; the driver of the front end loader was taken to hospital in stable condition.
Winnipeg Police Service Traffic Collision Investigation Section is investigating this matter.
Missing Person
The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a male that has been missing since April 12, 2008.
Jerry MOTH aka (Jerry BRAYSHAW) 41yrs old, was last seen on the 12th of April in the in the West End area. He is described as white male, thin, 5’7, 170bs, balding brown hair, and brown eyes.
MOTH suffers from mental health issues, and has been known to walk west from Winnipeg towards Portage La Prairie.
