Winnipeg Police Service Media Release
For Immediate Release
Marijuana Grow Operation
Members of the Winnipeg Police Service Green Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant on February 28th, 2008 at a residence in the area of McInnes Place and Rosehill Way.
An active marijuana grow operation consisting of 773 plants with a potential street value of nearly $900,000.00 was located. Also seized during the execution of the warrant was approximately $7000.00 worth of grow operation equipment.
Two females; 20 and 40 years and one male 19 years of age have been arrested. They face charges of;
- · Produce Cannabis Marijuana
- · Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking
- · Theft of Services Over $5000.00
- · Possess Proceeds of Crime
All three males have been released on a Promise to Appear.
