Motor Vehicle Collision Involving Fire Equipment

Shortly before 1:00 p.m. today members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision at Bishop Grandin Boulevard near St Anne's Road. The collision involved a Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service Hazardous Material Rescue Truck, a piece of construction equipment and a passenger vehicle.

As a result of the collision, a 49 year old male firefighter had to be extricated from the unit he was a passenger in. He, along with 3 other people, were conveyed to hospital in stable condition. The investigation is continuing.
